Our purpose at City Church is

“To reach people with the Good News of Jesus Christ in our city and around the world."
 
 
Our purpose is based on two teachings of Jesus:

Jesus replied: 
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
MATTHEW 22:36-40 NIV
Jesus said:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
MATTHEW 28:19-20 NIV
He said to them,
'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…' Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
