Our History

Lincoln City Church began with meetings in the Spring and Summer of 1989 with upwards of 80 people in attendance. The steady growth of the church throughout the years lead the church to several different locations and as ministries gradually expanded, the church began looking for larger facilities. Moving from schools to different locations, it was in January of 2000 when the Lord miraculously blessed the church with 28 acres of property situated off of Highway 77 and Old Cheney Rd. in Southwest Lincoln. The new Lincoln City Church building completed construction in 2002, consisting of a new sanctuary, church offices, and facilities for the various growing ministries of the church.

Lincoln City Church continues to carry out the vision God spoke into the ministry in 1993 to touch the city of Lincoln and the surrounding areas, and to minister to the children and youth who will be the next generation of leaders. In 1996 the direction of the church was confirmed that the church would begin to enter into a time of enlargement and change. The past several years have continued to be years of growth, enlargement, and change as God continues to lead Lincoln City Church to greater levels of influence in our city, region, and even the world.

The pastoral staff of Lincoln City Church has also developed the past several years into a strong leadership team from various backgrounds and ministries, all with the united purpose of extending God’s kingdom in our city, nation, and world.

We look forward to the days ahead as we anticipate God touching and changing the hearts of many people in Lincoln through our church. We believe that this is our hour to see a great harvest of people who become disciples of Christ and are sent to the nations to tell the good news about Him.
